This Privacy Policy is provided by KNIX KIDS Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales with Company Number 16848464 and registered office at Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE ("we", "our" or "us") for use of our products and services including our web and mobile application described at www.knixkids.com (the "App").

We take your privacy very seriously. Please read this privacy policy carefully as it contains important information on how and why we collect, store, use and share any information relating to you (your personal data). It also explains your rights in relation to your personal data and how to contact us or the relevant regulator in the event you have a complaint. Our collection, storage, use and sharing of your personal data is regulated by law, including under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

We are the controller of personal data obtained via the App, meaning we are the organisation legally responsible for deciding how and for what purposes it is used.

This privacy policy relates to your use of the App only.

The App may link to or rely on other apps, websites, APIs or services owned and operated by us or by certain trusted third parties. These may gather information about you in accordance with their own privacy policies.

We collect and use the following personal data about you:

• Identity and account data you input into the App: your name, date of birth and email address.
• Data collected when you use specific functions: data you store online with us using the App including your usage history or preferences.
• Data about a child: name, gender, skin colour (which may indicate ethnicity) and emotions (which may indicate health data) of that child. Where you provide personal data relating to a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have the authority to provide this information. The App is designed to be used by parents or guardians, and not by children independently.
• Other data collected automatically: your activities on, and use of, the App which reveal your preferences, interests or manner of use.
• Enquiry data: your name and email address when you make an enquiry.

As part of using our App, you can create stories about a child (the Child). In order for the App to create the stories, you must indicate details about the Child including their name, gender, skin and hair colour and emotional state. Skin and hair colour may indicate racial or ethnic origin, and emotional state may indicate health data. We only collect this data with your consent, and will only use it to provide you with the App and its services.

We do not knowingly or intentionally collect sensitive personal data or information about criminal convictions and you should not submit sensitive data to us.

We collect personal data from you directly when you sign up to the App, contact us directly or reach out via social media, and indirectly, such as your activity while using the App. Our App may collect personal information using cookies or similar technologies.

Under data protection law, we can only use your personal data if we have a proper reason such as:

• where you have given consent;
• to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations;
• for the performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract; or
• for our legitimate interests or those of a third party.

We use your personal data to create and manage your account, provide the App and its functionality (including automated processing and AI to generate personalised content), enforce legal rights, communicate with you about changes to our terms or the service, protect the security of systems and data, improve efficiency and support, perform statistical analysis, update user records, comply with legal obligations, and share data in connection with a corporate transaction.

We intend to send you email marketing about our services. We will always ask you for your consent unless you have previously opted in or did not opt out when initially signing up. You may opt out at any time by contacting us or using the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email.

We keep your personal data for as long as you have an active account with us and for up to 6 years thereafter to comply with accounting or legal obligations. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time in accordance with your rights.

We may use data processors outside the UK. We only transfer personal data to a country outside the UK where the UK government has decided the country ensures an adequate level of protection, there are appropriate safeguards in place, or a specific exception applies.
